In 2012, Customs of the Islamic Republic of Iran has set up the cross-border trade unit of the customs in order to register and manage all of import, export, and transit of goods. EPL which is the abbreviation of Electronic packing list, can be considered as comprehensive system of Iran's customs, which enables the activities of customs clearance agents as well as owners of the goods electronically and on a Web form.
All people who are working in the field of export and import have come across this system. One of the most important goals of setting up such system is to reduce paperwork and speed up the procedures for exporters and importers, so they can manage all their business process by using this system.
